Sakarun is a 800 meters long sandy beach, located on the northwestern coast of Dugi otok island. Fine white sand gives it particularly vivid blue-green sea color while unspoiled nature is a true invitation to rest your body and soul. It is great for families with small children because the water is really shallow.
Due to its biodiversity, Sakarun beach is protected as a significant Croatian Landscape and it was included in the Top 25 beautiful beaches in the world list by the Most Beautiful Bays in the World association.

Boat that will take you to Sakarun beach is situated at the city port, next to the bridge that leads to Zadar old town. Crew will meet you there and help you enter the boat. Boarding starts at 8:30 and the boat departs from the port at 9:00. Besides city port if needed, the boat will stop in Draženica in Zadar.
You will enjoy relaxing ride through the islands of Zadar archipelago. Guide will show you the exact route on the map and introduce you to the interesting facts about this area. During the ride you can sit at upper deck and take in sun rays as you cruise further to Sakarun, or you can sit at lower deck and air-conditioned salon.
At the northwestern part of Dugi otok island is situated Veli Rat, a small village where the boat will stop and you will take 15-min transfer by the air-conditioned bus to Sakarun beach.
At Sakarun beach you will have 4 hours of free time. You can swim and snorkel in crystal clear sea with white sands and beautiful turquoise sea. It is great for small children because of great shallow and warm waters.
In the afternoon the bus will take you back to Veli Rat, where you will have some free time until 16:00 when the boat will depart towards Zadar.
You will return to Zadar at 18:00 pm.

This tour is free for children up to 2,99 years. For children 3 – 5,99 the price is 12,00 EUR and for children 6 – 12 years the price is or 27,50 EUR
