Zrmanja boat tour from Obrovac will give everyone an unforgettable experience! Boat will take you through the canyon and you will see high cliffs that surround the green river. You will see where the river flows into the sea and swim under the waterfall at the end of the trip.

Zrmanja River has penetrated its way towards the sea through rough karst terrain for thousands of years. Due to its fickle character it is often called beauty and the beast. Zrmanja Canyon is one of the most impressive canyons in Croatia, therefore it was protected as a significant landscape.

Discover the beauty of the river and its nature, imposing cliffs with and interesting history of the area. The boat ride on the Zrmanja river starts from Obrovac. At the first part of the tour the river first passes through a canyon full of greenery and vegetation.
As the river continues its way through the canyon, the vegetation is reduced, instead the canyon is dominated by high and steep cliffs. In that landscape of stone and water, you may spot a cliff with a small building called “Pržunac”, which was the last dungeon of a Croatian queen.
At the very end of the canyon, you will pass by imposing cliffs that reach up to 200 meters in height.
About 12 km downstream from Obrovac, the river flows into the sea. At the point where Zrmanja river enters the Novigrad Sea and the boat will turn and drive back to Obrovac.
In Obrovac, the boat will pass under the bridge and after 4.5 kilometers upstream from Obrovac there is a waterfall – Jankovića buk. Below the waterfall, the river water mixes with the sea, and the water above the waterfall is drinkable. Next to the waterfall are the remains of several old mills.
After a short break for swimming under the waterfall, the boat will drive back to Obrovac, where this tour will end.
