We take you on a real boat adventure, on a dolphin watching tour. We want to introduce you to the natural habitat of dolphins, bring these wonderful creatures closer to you, and teach you how to behave around them. If you want to experience something different and at the same time learn a little more about the sea, come with us in search of dolphins.

ABOUT THE DESTINATION:

Drage is a village near Pakoštane. They are located halfway between Zadar and Šibenik. Drage is adorned with peace, a Dalmatian ambience and an indented coastline with numerous bays and pebble beaches.

The island of Vrgada is an island located in front of the village of Drage. More than two-thirds of the area of ​​Vrgada is covered by dense pine forest. The coves are sandy and accessible for bathers. In addition to the clear sea and shallow coast, Vrgada also has such an environment as is rare for any of our islands in the Adriatic. Namely, it is surrounded by 15 smaller and larger islands.

Dolphins are extremely intelligent and social animals. It is most interesting to observe them when they jump high over each other, play or chase fish. However, dolphins spend most of their time slowly swimming and diving and then all you can see is the dark dorsal fin that occasionally appears above the surface of the sea with a loud exhalation.

Our skipper knows this area well and can spot even the slightest change in the sea surface and draw your attention to where the dolphins appear. Therefore, our search for dolphins is 99% successful.

Regular departures from July to September are every day, and the dates of the excursion depend on weather conditions and the number of passengers.

Duration: about 3.5 hours

Departure for the dolphin hunting excursion is from Drage. While sailing the sea, we will introduce you to the most important information about dolphins and teach you about safety and behavior on boat. As we sail and enjoy the panoramic ride, we approach the location where the dolphins are normally found. We will slowly approach them so that you can see them up close. We observe dolphins for a maximum of 30 minutes.  Occasionally the dolphins decide to approach the boat and swim nearby. It’s a fantastic experience, as is hearing their voice. This is followed by a ride around the archipelago and a trip to the island of Vrgada. At your choice, you can walk around the island or swim in the bay. At 11:30 am departure from Vrgada followed by return to Drage.

40.00 EUR per person

It is free for children up to 2 years old, and 30.00 EUR for children 3-12 years old.

WHAT TO BRING: camera, sunglasses, bathing suit, beach shoes, towel, hat, sunscreen

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SHIP:

-dinghy of 7 meters for a maximum capacity of 8 adults, speed 30 miles;

-a 10-meter boat with a maximum capacity of 8 people, a speed of 7 miles.

• it is possible to reserve the whole boat so that guests can have a private excursion. Then you have  a boat with a skipper just for you, and it is possible to arrange stopovers as desired or a lunch break.

NOTE:

Trips are most successful in the early morning and late evening.

In case we don’t find dolphins, the next ride is free for all the people who participated in that trip. In order for all passengers to enjoy the trip and to respect the dolphins and their natural environment, we advise passengers to behave responsibly on board while watching dolphins
