In this full day boat tour to Zrmanja waterfalls you will swim in the river below the waterfalls, discover the remains of old water mills, enjoy a panoramic ride in a speed boat across the emerald green river through a canyon with high cliffs and visit a small fishing village of Ribnica.

ABOUT DESTINATION:

Zrmanja river is one of the cleanest and most beautiful rivers in Croatia as it flows through karst landscape of Velebit Nature park. After 69 km river flows into the sea, not far from the town of Obrovac. It is known for its beautiful canyons and the most famous and impressive one is the one between Obrovac and just before river flows into the Novigrad Sea. This canyon is characterized by 200 m high cliffs that rise above the river and protected as natural geomorphological monument.

Ribnica is a small fishing village situated on the shores of the channel that connects the Novigrad and Karin Seas. Ribnica has a peaceful atmosphere far from the city noise and crowds with pebble and sandy beaches.

Speed boat tour to Zrmanja waterfalls starts in a sea port in Starigrad Paklenica, where a skipper will meet you and help you get on the boat. After that you will cruise along the coast of the Paklenica Riviera towards Zrmanja canyon.
You will ride in a boat across the sea and admire the view of the mountain peaks of the Paklenica National Park. The boat will under the Maslenički bridge and continue cruising towards the point where Zrmanja river flows into the sea.
The boat will enter the canyon of Zrmanja river, which is characterized by over 200 m high cliffs and emerald green river.
In Obrovac you will pass under the bridge that separates the town into two parts and continue cruising all the way to the waterfalls.
At Zrmanja waterfalls you will have free time to swim under the waterfalls or to explore the remains of water mills dating to the 19th century.
After stopping at the waterfalls, you will return to the boat and ride back along the same route through Obrovac and the canyon to the next stop – town of Ribnica.
Once you arrive in a small and quiet place named Ribnica. It is situated partly on the shores of Karin and partly on the shores of Novigrad Sea. Here you will have free time for swimming in the sea, drinking coffee or have lunch in the restaurant.
After stopping in Ribnica you will return to the boat and ride back from Ribnica towards Starigrad.
Boat tour to Zrmanja waterfalls ends when you return to Starigrad around 16:30.
