Plitvice Lakes National Park is established in 1949 and in 1979 UNESCO added Plitvice to World Heritage List among the first in the world. CNN listed Plitvice 3rd on their list of the World’s most beautiful waterfalls to visit. Plitvice lakes are multi-level system of 16 Upper and Lower lakes that cascade descending into magnificent waterfalls and pools lengthening 5460 m in a vertical line. Due to its uniqueness this natural phenomena is often called Land of the falling lakes where stones grow. The process of tufa barriers growth in Plitvice is outstanding considering that usually tufa barriers grow couple of centimeters in 30 years but in Plitvice they grow from 30 to 60 centimeters.

Departure towards Plitvice from Zadar is scheduled at 8:00. Ride towards Plitvice Lakes National Park through picturesque landscape. With the arrival at the National Park begins a guided tour of Upper and Lower Plitvice lakes. You will enjoy taking photos and spending time in untouched nature of one of the World’s most beautiful National Parks. Besides walking, this tour includes a ride with electric boat across the lake Kozjak. After that, you will have 1:30 hours for a lunch break. Expected return to Zadar at 16:00.
