1. Šime Fantela

Šime Fantela is a Croatian professional sailor, Olympic, World and European champion from Zadar. He started in Zadar sailing club and together with Igor Marenić he became the world champion (2009 and 2016) and the European champion (2009, 2011, 2012). At the 2016 Olympic Games he won a gold medal.

2. Doris Pinčić

Doris Pinčić is a Croatian theater, television and film actress, as well as a radio and television host. She became popular in the media after her role in the series Lara’s Choice. The series were sold in 17 countries such as Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, Slovenia, Macedonia, the Middle East and Bosnia and Herzegovina. On November 24, 2011 it had a record number of viewers, when the episode was watched by 1.2 million viewers. In addition, for many years she was the host of the National Radio and culinary show “Tri, dva, jedan – kuhaj!”. She is currently working as the host of the cult show “Good Morning Croatia” on  Croatia’s public broadcasting company.

3. Stipe Žunić

Stipe Žunić is an athlete from Zadar, the owner of a bronze medal from the World Championships in London in 2017, where he made the result of his career with the ball and to this day remains the only Croatian with a world medal in the open air. He is a multiple Croatian record holder in throwing the ball outdoors and indoors, and he is the first Croat to throw the ball over 21m.

4. Natali Dizdar

Natali Dizdar is a Croatian pop singer. Her first official single, “Ne daj”, won almost all the charts and is considered the most successful domestic single of 2004. At the end of 2005, the album was included in the list of the ten best domestic albums of the year by the choice of music critics, and received as many as eight nominations for Porin 2006.

Tamara Šoletić, born in Zadar, is a Croatian theater and television actress, reciter and puppeteer. Tamara is an actress from the Zadar Puppet Theater, even better known as Lili from the TV series “Zauvjek susjedi” and Žana from the hit series “Zlatni dvori”.

6. Tihana Lazović

Tihana Lazović is a Croatian actress born in Zadar. She graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. She had the lead role in the film “Zvizdan” directed by Dalibor Matanić, which won the jury award for the best film in the category “Un Certain Regard” at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015. She played the role of journalist Tena Latinović in the TV series “Novine” in 2016. “Novine” is the first drama series in the Croatian language that is broadcast on Netflix, the largest and most important platform for streaming programs in the world. This has made the series available in more than 130 countries around the world.

7. Valter Dešpalj

Valter Dešpalj is a Croatian cellist born in Zadar. After graduating from the Juilliard School in New York (class of Leonard Rose) and the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory, he plays in concerts around the world. He performed in famous halls: Carnegie Hall (New York), Kennedy Center (Washington), Royal Festival Hall (London), Sydney Opera House, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Moscow Conservatory Hall, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall and many others. He is a full-time professor of cello at the Music Academy in Zagreb and a guest professor at renowned music universities abroad. He is one of the most prominent Croatian musicians of the second half of the 20th century, who achieved a notable international career as a soloist.

8. Ivan Šarić

Ivan Šarić is a television and radio host and stand-up comedian born in Zadar. He has been doing stand up comedy since 2006 and has performed in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also in England. Šarić is the first Croatian stand-up comedian to fill the Lisinski concert hall in Zagreb to the last seat.

9. Nela Šarić

Nela Šarić is a famous Croatian soprano singer, born in Zadar. After finishing primary and secondary music school in Zadar, she graduated in solo singing at the Music Academy in Zagreb. In Wales International Academy of Voice, she studied under renowned tenor Dennis O’Neill and soprano Nuccia Focile. She is the winner of numerous international singing competitions: in Japan, Italy, Wales, Austria, etc., and she was also a finalist in the Hans Gabor Belvedere International Singing Competition in Russia.
