SIGHTS & ATTRACTIONS:

Plitvice Lakes National Park is established in 1949 and in 1979 UNESCO added Plitvice to World Heritage List among the first in the world. CNN listed Plitvice 3rd on their list of the World’s most beautiful waterfalls to visit. Plitvice lakes are multi-level system of 16 Upper and Lower lakes that cascade descending into magnificent waterfalls and pools lengthening 5460 m in a vertical line. Due to its uniqueness this natural phenomena is often called Land of the falling lakes where stones grow. The process of tufa barriers growth in Plitvice is outstanding considering that usually tufa barriers grow couple of centimeters in 30 years but in Plitvice they grow from 30 to 60 centimeters.

Rastoke are a watermill village near the town of Slunj, completely situated on Slunjcica river. At first Rastoke were developed as watermill and wash mils settlement. It is a wonderful symbiosis of Slunjcica river creations and water powered mechanical mills, few hundreds years old.
Nowadays, its primary function is replaced and locals started to focus more on tourism. Slunjcica river is filled with wild trout which you can taste at the spot caught directly from the streams. Gourmets will enjoy and delicious bread from Rastoke made of freshly ground mixed wheat and house made yeast.
This Water world will definitely offer unforgettable experience to you and your many friends.
