Plitvice Lakes National Park is established in 1949 and in 1979 UNESCO added Plitvice to World Heritage List among the first in the world. CNN listed Plitvice 3rd on their list of the World’s most beautiful waterfalls to visit. Plitvice lakes are multi-level system of 16 Upper and Lower lakes that cascade descending into magnificent waterfalls and pools lengthening 5460 m in a vertical line. Due to its uniqueness this natural phenomena is often called Land of the falling lakes where stones grow. The process of tufa barriers growth in Plitvice is outstanding considering that usually tufa barriers grow couple of centimeters in 30 years but in Plitvice they grow from 30 to 60 centimeters.
Rastoke are a watermill village near the town of Slunj, completely situated on Slunjcica river. At first Rastoke were developed as watermill and wash mils settlement. It is a wonderful symbiosis of Slunjcica river creations and water powered mechanical mills, few hundreds years old.
Nowadays, its primary function is replaced and locals started to focus more on tourism. Slunjcica river is filled with wild trout which you can taste at the spot caught directly from the streams. Gourmets will enjoy and delicious bread from Rastoke made of freshly ground mixed wheat and house made yeast.

Departure at 8:00 am from departure points. Ride to Plitvice lakes National Park through picturesque landscape. Within the arrival at the National Park begins a 3 hours guided tour of the Plitvice lakes. You will enjoy in one of the world’s most beautiful national parks and its untouched nature. Besides walking, this tour includes a ride with electric boat across the lake Kozjak. Later, we will proceed to the nearby Rastoke village and lunch will be served at the terrace above the river while the fish swims below your feet. After lunch you will have some free time to explore this outstanding landscape filled with streams, waterfalls, watermills, hidden paths and bridges over river Slunjcica. At 16:30 departure for Zadar. Arrival to Zadar around 18:00.
