If you are a nature lover and like spending time at sea then this is the tour to book. You will ride in a speed boat through Zadar archipelago and visit the best of Telašćica and Kornati islands. You will discover hidden pebbly and sand lagoons, walk through healing lake, snorkel in exciting spots, visit filming set and jump from cliffs.

SIGHTS & ATTRACTIONS:

Telašćica bay Nature Park is located in Dugi otok. It has 25 coves and 5 islands. At the tip of the western side of the bay stretches the largest rocky cliff in the Adriatic, which reaches incredible 166 meters height and goes 85 meters deep into the sea. Nearby is a salty lake “Mir” which is well-known for its high salt content and medicinal mud.

Kornati National Park consists of 89 islands, islets and rocks. It is the most indented archipelago in Mediterranean. Name Kornati comes from the Latin word „corona“ which means a crown. According to the tradition, God wanted to crown his work on the last day of Creation, so He created Kornati islands out of tears, stars and breath.

PLAN OF THE TOUR:

Duration: 9:30 hours

You should arrive at the starting point 30 minutes earlier. The boat departs from Zadar at 9:00 and heads to Telašćica bay. There you will have free time to swim in turquoise sea or you can take a short walk to nearby salt lake and walk through healing mud. You can even climb to Telašćica cliffs and take stunning panorama pictures of Kornati islands from the top.
After that you will proceed to Kornati National Park. There you will stop at Mana island and visit filming set built in 1959.
After that you will go to another bay, famous gourmet spot at Kornati to have a lunch. Taste delicious slow-cooked traditional meals seasoned with spices that grow in this region. Later you can climb to the highest hill to take in beautiful panoramic view from the highest hilltop in Kornati.
After lunch you will visit another Kornati island called Levrnaka. It has unique shape with beautiful deep coves, one of them is Lojena lagoon, the only sandy beach in Kornati archipelago. You will stop there to relax, swim and snorkel in crystal clear waters.
On your way back you will stop at fishing village Sali in Dugi otok, to explore the island.
Before ending the tour your you will have unique opportunity to enjoy the view of Zadar Old town and sea organ from the sea.

What you will do

9:00 Departure from Zadar

You should arrive at the start point 30 minutes earlier. The boat departs from Zadar at 9:00.

Telašćica Nature Park

You will drive around the islands of the Telašćica Nature Park. You will pass by the Proversa Mala pass where you will see the remains of a Roman building.
After that you will enter Telašćica, the safest natural harbor on the Adriatic. You will be delighted by the lush vegetation and dense pine forests in the park. There you will have 1 hour of free time. Climb to the top of the highest cliffs and enjoy the view of the open sea. Or swim in one of the salt lakes named Mir or Peace.

Kornati National Park

You will sail through the Kornati archipelago, which consists of more than 90 islands and islets. You will swim in the sandy bay Lojena on the island of Levrnaka.
You will visit the island of Mana with an incredible view of the nearby islands surrounded by the blue sea, and you will also see a village built of stone for the movie filmed during the 60s of the 20th century.
You will admire the Kornati crowns, impressive rocks that fall vertically into the sea.
On the island of Kornat you will see the remains of the fortress Tureta which served as a military checkpoint in the 6th century.
Lunch break at a tavern on an island in the park.

Sali

On the way back to Zadar, another stop in Sali on Dugi otok. Sali is the largest place on the island, and you will have 30 minutes of free time to explore the place or to sweeten up with delicious ice cream.
After that return to the boat and departure for Zadar.

18:30 Zadar

Before entering Zadar, you will pass by the Sea Organ, a unique modern installation through which the waves play an unusual melody.
You will be able to enjoy the view of the Sea Organ from the sea surface.
