ABOUT DESTINATION: 

Kornati National park is composed of 89 unihabited islands and islets and is also the most indented group of islands in the Mediterranean. The Kornati archipelago is very popular among boaters, who consider it a challenging, but at the same time safe shelter. They are rich in dry stone walls and karst phenomena such as ravines, sinkholes and caves. According to the tradition, God wanted to crown his work on the last day of Creation, so He created Kornati islands out of tears, stars and breath.

Telašćica Nature park is situated at the south-eastern side of Dugi otok island, name comes from the latin word “tre lagus” which means three lakes. There are five small islands and five even tinier islets inside the bay, and the whole area is rich in flora and fauna. At the tip of the western side of the bay stretches the largest rocky cliff in the Adriatic, which reaches incredible 166 meters height and goes 85 meters deep into the sea. Nearby is salty lake “Mir” which is well-known for its high salt content and medicinal mud.

A boat trip to the Kornati and Telašćica starts from Zadar at 8:15 am. After boarding a boat, you will be served sandwiches with ham and cheese, and you will be able to try local Rakija. During this time, the guide will tell you fascinating stories about the sights you will see on this trip. After arriving in Telašćica you will have 1:30 hours to explore the island, you can visit lake “Mir”, walk around the island  or use this time for swimming in the lake or sea. Then it is time for a panoramic sail through Kornati National park and bay Suha Punta, where our next destination is. In Suha Punta you will be served lunch, which consists of meat, fish, salad and delicious Croatian wine. After lunch, around 15:30 pm we sail back, and during the sail you will be served watermelon to  freshen up and stay hydrated. At 18:00 pm you arrive back at the port where the trip ends.
